Hi,

I am also interested in some higher-level presentation of the menus, available subtitle languages, audio languages if available, etc. There is something I think is called libdvdread or something that mplayer can use but I have not manage to activate a nice ncurses-like interface.

When you use mplayer it will tell you how many titles there are -- the
first two seem bogus on the dvd's I have tried and you just have to try
the others -- some of which may be the same.

Hi,

I'd just use MPlayer rather than copying contents, etc. I forget the
syntax but it's simple enough.

Your life is like a penny. You're going to lose it. The question is:
How do
you spend it?
