Why not try booting up that net-install like it already has speakup built-in? I did tab downarrow space, then keyed in my speakup parameters and got my version talking.On Sun, 6 Jun 2010, Kristoffer Gustafsson wrote:

 lenny is the latest stable release, squeeze is the testing release wich
 will become stable at some point soon, and is significantly newer.  Sid is
 uunstable.
