Accessible skype irc client

I have a job where they want us to use skype irc for 
communications/meetings.  Is there an accessible client for linux for 
Skype irc or some alternative that allows me to do this?  I know the linux 
Skype client from them uses qt4/dbus which makes it inaccessible as far as 
I know.
