/boot/grub/locale couldn't be found and that was freaking grub out. So I
ended up removing that version of grub and some kernel of 2.26.x version
flavor and rebooted the system and the problem went away. When xysvc got
updated recently, I found I had some cruft on the system and as root
cleaned that up and the dependency based booting system update then became
possible. On Sat, 13 Feb 2010, Matt Barnes wrote:
Have you ran update-grub as root? What is the specific error message? It
generates grub.cfg using* *files at /etc/default/grub* *and* */etc/grub.d/,
so you may have to check in those for a path error.
