Thanks Tony:  Sure if I could have done it with mplayer, I have 
tools-and-scripts, but because I must run this particular site through firefox, 
seemingly starting the stream, then recording directly from my sound-card may 
be the logical way to go.  Also, since in this case mp3 is the format I want to 
endup with, why go through the trouble-and-space of converting from .wav?
