Hello!
Ok, you don't have any problem. but suse blinux(the
screen reader that comes with suse) should autodetect serial displays, I've read
that they support all alva models.
I had an alva long time ago.
So just boot your system, and you should have
braille.
Good luck.

brltty
I'd appreciate any new replies because I'm
wondering the same thing. I will be installing suse enterprise linux server
and read there is blinux support and am renting a an alva 544 serial display,
but I haven't tested. I've inquired about this several times and have gotten 0
replies each time.
Thanks
Cody

Hello!
Is it possible to install open suse with
brltty?
I mean, can I modify the installa tion dvd like
fedora, So I don't need to use suse-blinux? that screen reader has no
support for usb displays
