Any Console Recovery Programs?

Hi All:  Sunday evening I must have used a wrong set of commands to move files 
with rsync, because much of what was on my f drive is now gone.
I looked for linux recovery programs in ex3  but the 2 I found are either 
graphical or windows.  Can some1 please provide 1 which I can run in a console, 
fairly simple interface--thanks so much in advance
