Hi, Christian: It does appear that Ardour would be usable with Orca. I have looked through the menus, as has Frank Carmickle. We're both of the opinion that it's usable. I don't believe either of us has yet created a project with Ardour, let alone concluded one. To get jack working you probably need a second audio device. In other words, you should probably not try to use jack on the same audio device that you're using for speech. At least my attempts to do so have crashed quite thoroughly--maybe you're experience will be different. So, once you have a second device, simply start jackd on that device. The jackd help is pretty sufficient, I think. hth Janina Christian writes: > Hi all, > Has anyone used Ardour successfully? > I want to try this multi track recording program out. I also need to find out how to get Jack to work. Any tips would be apreciated, many thanks. > Christian > > > _______________________________________________ > Blinux-list mailing list > Blinux-list@xxxxxxxxxx > https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/blinux-list -- Janina Sajka, Phone: +1.202.595.7777; sip:janina@xxxxxxxx Partner, Capital Accessibility LLC http://CapitalAccessibility.Com Marketing the Owasys 22C talking screenless cell phone in the U.S. and Canada Learn more at http://ScreenlessPhone.Com Chair, Open Accessibility janina@xxxxxxxx Linux Foundation http://a11y.org IPv6 is the answer! _______________________________________________ Blinux-list mailing list Blinux-list@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/blinux-list
