In lookig at the documentation, you would just need to pass some startup options to the kernel on boot from the cd.

>grml brltty=device,port,brltable

FYI: grml also supports speakup and the software speech synthesizer, so it can be booted with speech as well.

Thanks, what image should I look for? I'm on an i386 machine.
Also, can it run as a live dvd?

Good, so is it possible to configure braille to start automatically if
it is a live dvd or cd?
