Hello, list. I hope someone can answer my question on the list. I am going to get a braille display soon at work. This device is produced in Russia so there is no direct support for it in brltty. However, I was told that the this device works by emulating the powerbraille protocol, so there is a chance to make it work under Linux with brltty. The problem is that this device has only usb connection and AFAIK powerbraille protocol does not provide direct usb support. Therefore you need to install extra drivers to make the device work in Windows. I know that there are similar devices around such as Seika. So, if anyone know how to make such displays to work with brltty, please, outline the necessary steps for it. I currently run Ubuntu Gutsy but I am ready to switch to another distro if it would help me to get the display working without too much trouble. Thanks in advance. Sergei. _______________________________________________ Blinux-list mailing list Blinux-list@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/blinux-list
