Using humanware Braille-note as synthesizer/display under Linux

I'm cross-posting this question to both the BrailleNote list and the 
blind plus linux list.  Is it possible to use a BrailleNote MPower as 
an external hardware synthesizer under Linux?  What about using it as 
a braille display?
