I'm not sure about that one. I know orca can talk to speech-dispatcher but whether speech-dispatcher will talk to ttssynth or not I don't know. I believe you should be able to run speakup with connector and ttssynth in text consoles and that shouldn't get in the way in 'X' but I'm not positive.
