However if you're only pulling mail from your ISP's mail server, the only machines your packets will be going through will belong to your ISP, and anyone in a position to sniff your packets on those boxes will probably have more straight-forward access to your mail anyway. Put a line like daemon 300 above your first poll line in .fetchmailrc in your home directory. ssl probably goes on a line by itself after the poll line and before your options line.
