I have just made a new release of eflite.
Eflite 0.4.1 has some compilation and portability fixes, allows the speech
volume to be set in its configuration file, factors in the sample rate
when compensating for silence generated by flite at the beginning and
ending of utterances, and works around a threading issue with newer
versions of Linux.
