I learned what debian ships actually needs a patched version of lynx to enable ssl certificates to work correctly. I don't know what to do about edbrowse to get ssl working in that browser though. I sent a message to commandline@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx which is the support list for both the jupiter version of linux and edbrowse but haven't found much yet.

I have an ssl enabled version of lynx installed on a debian box and have openssl and ca-certificates also installed. That though does not give me sceamless access to ssl pages though. Might there be some change needed for the system-wide lynx.conf file I need to do? The ssl entry in that file doesn't appear clear to me just yet.
