Problems with BRLTTY and the Braille Voyager display in Debian

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello All,

I have the latest stable version of Debian installed on my Fujitsu Siemens
laptop.
I'm running the version 2.4.27-2-386 of the kernel.
I have installed BRLTTY with apt-get, and it's configured for the Braille
Voyager display.
When I try to start the program, I get this message:
/dev/brlvger: No such device.

I tried to run the script makedev, but it said:
I don't know how to make /dev/brlvger

The display is identified by the kernel.

I have also tried a version of the 2.6 kernel, but it doesn't identify the
display at all.

Can someone tell me how to solve this problem?

Regards,
Martin
