well never mind what the ebst is, that is personal at best. IMHO the style proposed in RFC 1855 (entiquets) is the best, meaning context sensative quoting. And yes I'm not quoting anything form a previous message in this posting otherwise you would have seen lines starting wiht ">" before lines in this message.
