For the lib, you need libstdc++2.10 who is no longer available.

But in fact you no longer need trpalyer at all:
if you add 
deb ftp://ftp.nerim.net/debian-install/ sarge main
(or testing if you use a testing),
and do then

apt-get update && apt-get install mplayer-576 w32codecs realplayer

you will be able to listen to ra/ram radios, simply by adding the 
-playlist option to the mplayer url you enter.

This job takes at leas 1 minute and you have all you need.
