Hello!
Great.Can't you Girlfriend come and install debian on my machine then?
I only had problems with mine.
But i think ther was some incorrect installation anywhere.

Why not CrossOver?
but note that these are payware, they are NOT Gnu/Gpl, and if you only
want to run Linux for running w$ soft, keep your W$ at your machine, or
doesn't run Gnu/Linux then!
The most softly migration technic consists of running a dual boot, my
girlfriend does, ans since a few months she no longer starts W$, because
she found anything helpfull under debian Gnu/Linux, she no longer need
W$, no longer crashes, no longer Symantec's chit! etc!
