Whatever is in /etc/brltty.conf completely overrides any ./configure options. 
Ideally, you shouldn't use any ./configure options and just use
/etc/brltty.conf to specify whatever you need. That's because you can change
things at run-time rather than always rebuild and reinstall the binary.
