mine just don't speak period
when I run gnopernicus from the command line it
gripes about not having a display or something like thatb
ut when I run startx
gnopernicus runs but no speech comes out what so
ever.

I think it's metacity. I can't get it going on
fc-3. I have alsa working and it starts to speak, but I get a gnopernicus
window, and a terminal one, and at times a gnome-session one that seems empty,
can't do anything from it. In the docs I found online, they want variables set
which I did all but a few because I don't know where to set the directory,
can't tell where the gnome2 dir is that they want, whereis gnome or whereis
gnome2 doesn't work, and locate gives screenfuls of stuff in all sorts of
places. To switch to sawfish requires other dependencies that fc3 didn't
install.

cause I had a sighted person play a wav file so
sound is up has any one ran in to this?
