Hello! Ok, I've gotten the card workingnow, but I have a problem. I can't install any rpm package, because it says that it cannot find the package database. I know that the kernel that comes with redhat has intel cards as loadable modules. So my option is to solve this or to find that loadable module. Can you tell me how to fix the problem, or the name of the module? thanks! /kristoffer -----Ursprungligt meddelande----- Från: blinux-list-bounces@xxxxxxxxxx [mailto:blinux-list-bounces@xxxxxxxxxx]För Rafael Skodlar Skickat: den 10 mars 2005 08:05 Till: Linux for blind general discussion Ämne: Re: network cards Kristoffer, Intel cards work just fine. All kernels in 2.4 and 2.6 support Intel chips. I se Intel chips all the time on mid to high level servers. We use Redhat and special version of Linux with no problems. Make sure you have Intel pro1000 and not e100, i.e. you need to match the correct driver with the card. Different chips use different drivers. Also, there are two drivers for e100 so you might want to try one or the other.
