in my opinion, if you want to use YASR together
with Festival, it is worth considering to create a speech-dispatcher client to
this screen reader.
Speech-dispatcher has a C API for creating clients,
it is flexible and can handle various TTS applications and hardwares, among
others Festival, as speech output module.
