Hi Lars,

Try putting this in .muttrc:

set arrow_cursor=yes

Note that I'm a braille only user. To make this work I also had to do a
wholesale reformatting of the "index" (message headers) display:

set index_format="%Z %-73.73s%-40.40F%{%b %d} %4C"

This fits my 132-column screen and puts the subject at the left end where
the cursor is, preceded by the flags and followed by the sender, date and
message number.

The idea of switching to the vt100 terminal is interestiing; I'll have to
try that. Thanks!
