I haven't tried yasr on a Mac and don't know of anyone who has, but it works fine on my Athlon 64, and I used to have a Multia that it worked on (although it gave alignment errors in the syslog that I never tracked down, so there may or may not still be problems). In theory it should work, anyway, as should Emacspeak. -- Michael Gorse / AIM:linvortex / http://mgorse.home.dhs.org -- A better world is possible! http://www.kucinich.us On Wed, 10 Dec 2003, BlindTech wrote: > hello > i don't have access to an old pc but i do a mac, a powermac 6100 and will > either install debion or yallow dog, i'm leaning more towards debion. now, > here's my question, now i know for sure that linux on a mac is old news, but > wwhat about speech for linux on a mac? would i be able to use the speech > software synth on a mac, i thought i could cause its written in java. and > finally, what about emacs, sincce it works with the flite tts will it run, > on mac hardware? or the yashr? thanks for all the help > > _______________________________________________ Blinux-list@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/blinux-list
