Both Saturnalia and Yule pre-date Christmas Chanukah Kwanza and no, not
all Holidays have ever been observed to worship God. A good many have
been observed and continue to be observed to worship Goddess. I consider
operating systems a religious topic in this context when several commands
reference both Goddesses and Gods but other than Jupiter which is actually
a flavor of Linux I don't find all that many connections and a religious
operating system would have names of deities performing some of the more
important functions as well. I suppose in coming years since so much
programming is being outsourced to India, a Hindi version of Linux will
become available with several of the deities names in it. If you ever use
an operating system like that and are considering using the Shiva command,
please be very certain you've read and understood its man page
documentation and info page or you could end up with a completely blank
hard drive.
