Well i suppose that 32 cell is due to a couple of things. First of all, it is the size of an 8.5 inch page. It is also a matter of cost. Each Braille cell adds about $100 to the price. Since other companies have gone to 32 cells in order to be in the same price range the Elba needed to do this too. Of course there is an issue of size also.
