-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 guys, I'm not sure what steps you went through. the easier way for me was to simply add the line append="hdx=ide-scsi" to lilo.conf, run lilo and then restart. (hdx being whatever drive you happened to have at the time).. another way was to add a line to modules.conf telling it that drive hdx was ide-scsi (using an alias).. if that failes, try modprobe ide-scsi. so far, I have had very few problems and can write cd's using cdrecord, cdrdao and a few other tools (such as vcdgear). all are command line and all work nicely.
