Hi. After much reading and poking around on google, I was finally able to compile the dctc and cccp programs that I found on freshmeat.net. with these programs, you have text access to the direct connect network for file sharing. Now, to figure out how to use it. just for informational purposes, there seems to be a number of linux hubs listed which will make finding linux source much easier. one of them is sourceforge. phil
