Hi! At some point I am thinking of having a flat. The place I am looking at seems to have cable facilities but my dad works for BT so if I could I would try to go for an ADSL connection. The problem is some areas don't have ADSL coverage in the UK so if I had to have high speed access via cable, is a cable Internet connection compatable with Linux or perhaps I should say is the hardware for establishing a cable connection to the Internet supported under Linux if my new flat were not to fall in an area which has ADSL coverage? I ask this question because I live at home with my family at the moment and I know from my phone number which I typed on the BT site that ADSL is not supported by the local exchange where I live at present. Hope someone could help with my enquiry.
