Software Synths Under Linux

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi list,

I am just looking for a software synth that is available for Linux that I
can use in one of my current projects to make the application self voicing.

I have had a bit of a look at rsynth, but was seriously unimpressed with the
quality of speech it produced.

When you get use to Eliquence, switching to something like rsynth is a bit
scary *grins*.

The speed of the synth isn't a huge consern as most of the sound generated
by the synth will be recorded in to audio files in the background, so when
the audio is actually required it is right there ready to go.

If anyone has any good solutions I would very much like to hear from you.
