hello!
to get the boot up messages from the computer is very difficult since i
don't use a screen to it.
the message i get under the installation is only something like an error has
occured.
i think it is best to tell you wich equipment i have.
i have a pentium 120 mhz computer with three hard drives.
one is about 850 megs, one about 4 gigs and one is 5 gigs.
i have a creative awe 64 sound card.
an internal ide cd rom drive.
64 megs of ram memory.
an internal infovox card.
what can be wrong with this systrem?
thanks in advance
Kristoffer

Kris,

What is the message returned during the installation of SuSE
Linux?

It's possible that the cd-rom has nothing to do with your
problems.

Can you ask someone to read the PC boot process messages to
you, as you switch on the computer? Usually messages displayed
include lines such as:

IDE1 MASTER =XXXX
IDE1 SLAVE =YYYY
IDE2 MASTER =TOSHIBA XYZ 123456 CDROM

At least, that's what they do on my machine.

Hope this helps!
