Hi all, I try to install ViaVoice TTS on my Debian system but without success. First I use alien to transform the rpms packages into .deb packages and then I run dpkg -i viavoice-xxxxx.deb The problem I encounter is that when I try to execute the test program, things goes wrong and a message tells me that ViaVoice isn't properly install. The file "eci.ini" cannot be found . I know that I must modify the file /etc/profile to indicate the "eci.ini" path but even if I do this ViaVoice test program complain and it's normal because I discovered that "eci.ini" isn't present on my hard disk after the installation. then what is wrong in my install procedure ? a friend told me that I might use an option to force dpkg to copy certains files more than one time but I don't find this option in the dpkg man. If you have an idea or know how to proceede to install ViaVoice on Debian, please tell me. Thanks in advance. -- Nath ______________________________________________________________________________ ifrance.com, l'email gratuit le plus complet de l'Internet ! vos emails depuis un navigateur, en POP3, sur Minitel, sur le WAP... http://www.ifrance.com/_reloc/email.emailif
