Dave, I was really wondering which bit of the code I'd need to hack to make it work. I've now found the bit that sets things up for 18/40 character displays. I thought I'd have a go at changing this to 20, to see what happens. If the result looks like a patch you could incorporate, I can certainly mail it in your direction.
