vim is an enhanced version of vi. For one thing it comes with an extensive help system. One of the best ways to learn vi is to edit the learnvi.txt file. This file contains a tutorial of the vi editor and is set up in such a way that when you begin editintg it, it walks you through the command set. I just tried to find a copy of it on my linux system and failed. Hopefully someone out there has a copy and can send it to you. rudy On Mon, Aug 26, 2002 at 01:25:31PM -0700, ADFM wrote: > What is the difference between VI and VIM? According to man vi and man vim the same manual page is used. Can someone please point me to a listing of VI commands?
