I guess that works, but FWIW, I did point you to our tree already
earlier in the thread and generally we do have backports there for
everything we needed. In this instance:

Oh, I thought you had a full kernel tree somewhere that you ran upstream 'backports' gentree.py against.

Either way, after kcov, there was another hack to fix some stats logic, a hack for mt76,
and then everything compiled.  I'll run-time test it today.
