I am running a build server on Ubuntu 14.04 and recently had to upgrade

Now spatch is installed and works just fine, but I am getting all kinds
of errors when trying to install other packages which kinda sucks. So I
tried unstalling coccinelle and just build it from github repo, but that
fails for me as well (giving 'Unbound module Pcre').
So can anyone recommend a way to deal with the coccinelle version
requirements when running on Ubuntu LTS version.

Arend
I also took the package from debian on my Ubuntu system, but I also
installed a more recent version of libpcre3, because coccinelle requires
it and is complaining about this in your error message. I used this
package: http://packages.ubuntu.com/utopic/libpcre3
Thanks, Hauke
I did not like going down the path of picking up individual packages,
but alas. For now it is working.

Arend
