Hello All,
Please find below a brief summary of the progress Collabora has made last week.
Week 48 (2023)
Weston/Wayland
================
- SPEC-5003 (Convert tbtnavi to meson and gRPC API), SPEC-5004 (Update flutter-auto to version 8 of the agl-shell protocol) - Scott reported out that tbtnavi was acting up not placing window on a different output. Decided to re-work the entire bit using gRPC instead of debugging the older proto, but that requires a bit of changes in flutter-auto as well, one being the ability to specify which output to activate the window. This is a consequence of the shell client doing the activation rather than letting other applications do it. Both Jira tasks are about updating flutter auto to be able to handle activation on different outputs. Rather than doing this upstream and giving that flutter ics doesn't have at the moment activation support we'll carry those changes in meta-flutter and remove them once flutter ics gains gRPC support. With this new change tbtnavi will be started on different output using gRPC.
- SPEC-4987 (Convert camera-gstreamer to use meson and gRPC API) - some minor tests and finishing the update (found an issue with it while doing the initial resize). The camera has now an option to start as floating/pop-up dialog using gRPC.
PipeWire/WirePlumber:
====================
- (SPEC-4931) - Add balance, bass and treble controls.
- Changes (https://gerrit.automotivelinux.org/gerrit/c/apps/agl-service-audiomixer/+/29512) to add bass and treble controls are done, reviewed by George.
Best regards,
Kiril Bicevski
