On Behalf Of Walt Miner The AGL Steering Committee has approved a proposal from our member companies to merge the Virtualization Expert Group with the Containers and Service Mesh Expert Group. Going forward the combined group
will be called the Virtualization and Containers Expert Group and will be led by Jerry Zhao of Panasonic Automotive. Jerry has very successfully led the implementation of VirtIO and the Virtualization Expert Group the last few years. This merger allows us
to focus on related topics that affect the software defined vehicle architecture and will put additional emphasis on the deployment aspects of container technology in modern vehicles. This will also be the focal point for developing a product ready version
of the container solution that was implemented by the Instrument Cluster Expert Group the last few years and was shown at CES earlier in the year. The new expert group will meet every other Wednesday at 1 pm UTC.
