Collabora weekly progress w/e 5th December 2021

Hello All,

Please find below a brief summary of the progress Collabora has made last week.

Weston/Wayland

Marius:

- SPEC-4170 (rpi4 camera streaming w/ lamprey) - testing out SPEC-4145 noticed that I can't seem to get a video feed from the camera. Test pattern video from vivid does works fine, there's nothing wrong w/ the application, just that the camera feed doesn't seem to working at all. Needs more investigation.
- SPEC-4169 (snapshot SDKs issue) - trying out some SDK snapshots doesn't seem to be working, fails to retrive pkg-config files, though the release SDK seem to be work fine. Path inconsistencies between the two: agl-sdk vs poky-agl. All tested with lamprey, not master.
- SPEC-4145 (Black strips on top and bottom are blinking if camera-gstreamer launched second time) - took some time to replicate, it seems we're not correctly updating the sub-surfaces when activation takes place, only the main parent surface. Need to test it out to confirm. 

Application Framework

Arnaud:

- SPEC-4159: rework launcher to get rid of old App FW and push patches
- SPEC-4160:

- Finalize and test app launcher service implementation
- Convert homescreen and launcher to use the new applaunchd service
- Push patches

- SPEC-4161: push initial version to meta-agl-demo

Pipewire

Ashok:

- Update pipewire and wireplumber to 0.3.40 & 0.4.5 versions: changes done, Just got the hardware and working on setting it up and testing the changes
