Hi All,

Please find below a brief summary of the progress Collabora have made last week on Weston/Wayland and Pipewire.

Weston / Wayland

Marius

- SPEC-3359 (Adding qt logging rules crashes in qtwayland libs) - Patch to mitigate the problem posted. Initial assesment found to be true. Crash happens due to missing a input library and w/ the code not accounting for that.

- SPEC-3786 (Error focusing homescreen buttons) - Helped out investigation of HTML5 demo image issues. Found and reported a few issues in the same time, some of the them being already known.

- SPEC-3796 (Cannot re-launch GUI application after it is killed by kill command) - Initial discussions about providing an workaround to applications being killed and no longer being accounted by the homescreen service.

- Started doing builds with nogfx for h3lulcb machine to investigate high CPU usage (related to SPEC-3774).

- Revewing https://gerrit.automotivelinux.org/gerrit/c/AGL/meta-agl/+/25935 and https://gerrit.automotivelinux.org/gerrit/c/apps/agl-service-homescreen/+/25978

    - Changed the main wireplumber.conf configuration file to be a lua script as well
    - Added an interactive lua script execution mode for easy testing and prototyping

    - Rewrote module-node-suspension in lua
