I wonder which AGL version did you use, but I’d like to answer from my experience.

 

When you disable “shell=ivi-shell.so” in weston.ini file in order to use “desktop-shell”,

You must remove “ivi-controller.so” description from weston.ini.

 

Example

[before] modules=systemd-notify.so,ivi-controller.so

[After] modules=systemd-notify.so

Hi ,

I built the bitbake agl-image-weston, 

After the build the weston shell is crashing showing a blank screen, i had disabled this line in shell=ivi-shell.so in /etc/sdg/weston/weston.ini. Still seeing the weston shell going off after some upon boot, What could be the setting missing?
