You need to provide complete debug logs from the automounter (from the
moment it starts until the failed attempt to mount the volume).
Leonardo
yes, Leonardo, but on my /var/log/messages i don't see anythin about
autofs
or automount, here a short piece, after disabling, and trying to listate
the
content of /mnt/BIG:
Maybe you didn't set the log level correctly? Please confirm that you have
LOGGING="debug" in /etc/sysconfig/autofs.
Leonardo
yes, excuse me, I forgot to uncomment the code, sorry.
thanks again
now i can see moore log (at the shutdown i was on shell to /mnt/BIG, su you
will see at the end "/mnt/BIG is in use"):
OK, but you still need to show us the logs that are generated when the
automounter tries to mount the volume and fails.
Leonardo
excume me leonardo and Ian,
I would ask you to ask you if it is correct to get the logs through this
procedure, before sending unnecessary mail:
1) with logs on debug,
2) start autofs.service
3) try to elencate list file on /mnt/BIG
4) stop autofs.service
5) collect debug log from /var/log/messages, from the start of
autofs.service
if those precedure are not correct, please give me the correct steps,
thanks again!
