to me that looks like there's no metadata on the disk and therefore no raid... but I'm not an expert !

No need for the link; hex dump is:

And the OS mounts look like "/dev/sda3 on / type ext3 (rw)"; no /dev/mapper involved.

Perhaps the lsi1064 isn't fakeraid? Or, more likely, it just does stuff different?
