Hi there,

I am trying to install Kubuntu Edgy to my machine with an Intel 82801GR/GH SATA RAID Controller. I have two disks and would like to install as raid 1.
Following the documents/howto-s found on the net I am trying the following:

During install I exit to a shell and try to load dmraid. I install the following packages:

lsb-base_3.1-10ubuntu4_all.deb
libselinux1_1.30-1_i386.deb
checkpolicy_1.10-1_i386.deb
libdevmapper1.02-udeb_1.02.08-1_i386.udeb
dmraid-udeb_1.0.0.rc13-2ubuntu1_i386.udeb

When everything is installed i run 'dmraid -ay -i -v -d' and I get the following output:

So, it seems as it finds my volumes and sets them up and then frees them. As such, I don't get any /dev/mapper setup which I could use for the install. Can anybody help me out? What is status 16? Why is freeing the device? There is no error in the messages log (dmesg).

thanks,
Attila

ps: before I found this list I found a web-based newsgroup at "http://groups.archivesat.com/ATA_RAID/thread304167.htm" which allowed me to post. If that post and this mail goes to the same list I apologize.
