Does dmraid still depend on SELINUX?

I'm stuck with an old dmraid on Gentoo.
The maintainer log says this as the last entry:

====================
19 Oct 2005; <solar.@xxxxxxxxxx> metadata.xml:
- changed metadata status to maintainer-wanted and removed base-system as
parent herd. Next version has ugly harddep on selinux and I dont want to
maintain any parts of that. RIP dmraid

*dmraid-1.0.0_rc8-r1 (27 Jul 2005)
====================

It's for many small reasons similar to this one that I'm looking for a new distro; Gentoo seems to be unraveling. All just my opinion, though.
