Hi Robert, I would try replacing the filter command in /etc/lvm/lvm.conf: # By default we accept every block device: filter = [ "a/.*/" ] change it to something like: filter = [ "r|/dev/hde|", "r|/dev/hdf|", "r|/dev/hdg|", "a/.*/" ] where in my case the dmraid drives are /dev/hde hdf and hdg, replace those lines with your dmraid drives. After you edit the file you should issue a vgscan command with no parameters to update the /etc/lvm/.cache file also. -James > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Robert Mortimer" <rmortimer@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> > To: ataraid-list@xxxxxxxxxx > Subject: Dev mapper FC5 system-config-lvm > Date: Tue, 11 Apr 2006 15:43:34 +0100 > > > I have installed FC5 on a machine with a Rocket Raid card. > The mapper works great, Anaconda sees it and the install > is flawless > > The problem is when I try and use system-config-lvm the > program launches and then exits.
