If you have an ASUS Motherboard with the Intel SATA RAID controller chip, the latest distribution of Red Hat AES, Version 4.2 or what I use CentOS, Version 4.2 has the drivers in place and properly recognize the SATA RAID controller and disks.  You can also check out the DELL support site and they provide a link to the RAID driver by itself.
