Hi, I have server with Intel Board SE7221BK1-E It has ICH6R on board according to Intel specs Is RAID10 mode for the ICH6R supported? Bios configuration: ATA/IDE Configuration: enabled RAID Technology: enabled ACHI Mode: enabled There are four drives on the SATA channels And RAID 10 was selected on the bios setup for the RAID subsystem. I tried Fedora Core 5 Test 2 which hopefully had installer support for dmraid No luck with : linux dmraid achi module loads at boot time but when the installer starts and gets to the partition setup all four drives are seen as /dev/sda thru /dev/sdd instead of a single raid array. Looked around using command line console but couldn't really see how and where dmraid works on the installer. I have managed to boot the system using an existing Fedora Core 4 installation on the remaining ATA channel. I tried the dmraid that Fedora Core 4 comes with and no luck dmraid -ay produces result : No Software RAID disks I have upgraded dmraid rpm dmraid-1.0.0.rc9-1 rpm device-mapper-1.01.02-1.0 lspci lists rather old now. Would really like to get Fedora Core 4 going rather. Any help would be appreciated as to what it is I am doing wrong. Would dmraid be recommended for a production server or is it still very developmental?
