What was the output of dmraid -ay? You also need to be in raid mode with a raid volume configured and activated in the bios.

Hey everyone. I posted this message on 3 different groups. This will be
my second post to this list and if anyone has any info other than go to
this other list I would greatly appreciate it.

I'll leave out all the extra detail of my last post and simply say,

I have an on-board PDC20378 that at the moment is set to IDE mode ( but
I have tried it in RAID mode as well ). I have 2 IDE drives connected
and the BIOS sees them both.

I am running the 2.6.14-1.1637_FC4smp but I have tried custom kernels
and older FC4 kernels.

The
sata_promise,libata,sd_mod,ata_piix,dm_snapshot,dm_zero,dm_mirror,dm_mod
modules are loaded. But no devices are detected or created.
